THE LANDER GROUP EARNS NATIONAL DISTINCTION
The National Association of Home Builders Honors Local Developer in Pillars of the Industry Awards

ROSEVILLE, MINN (April 12, 2006) — The Builders Association of the Twin Cities (BATC) and its parent organization, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), is proud to announce that local developer, The Lander Group, has earned one of the home building industry’s highest honors. The NAHB named The Lander Group Best Multifamily Development Firm of the Year in their annual Multi-Famly Pillars of the of the Industry Awards which capped off their multifamily education conference held in Scottsdale, Arizona, in early April.

In honoring the Lander Group, the judges considered overall quality of the company’s recent projects; success in achieving the company’s visions and goals; financial performance; innovative development strategies and practices; and a demonstrated ability to overcome obstacles. In earning this prestigious award, The Lander Group brings national recognition and acclaim to the Twin Cities’ multifamily development boom. In a time of unprecedented development of lofts and condos across the country, competition for this award was particularly fierce. Lander was the only Twin Cities firm to receive an Award in this year’s program.

“This is a small firm, working on a small scale, but with truly big ideas,” noted Jerry Howard, executive vice president and chief executive officer of NAHB. “The Lander Group offers exciting architecture and good planning, and as a result, the firm has helped build great urban neighborhoods.” Howard also noted that the Lander Group has a strong commitment to eco-friendly products and to “building green.”

Long recognized by peers and home buyers as a design leader, The Lander Group owner, Michael Lander, is considered a pioneer in urban housing in the Twin Cities. The recipient of many national and local awards over the past decade and a half, this honor from Pillars of the Industry is the culmination of a career in design excellence.
